Alongside these changes, we're introducing a more structured and rewarding system for awards and prizes, celebrating your talent in new and exciting ways.

We’re excited to share that we’ve reviewed the categories, made some fantastic adjustments, and clarified which category is the absolute best fit for your entry!

Notes

Vehicle: This includes tanks, grav tanks, walkers and flyers.

Juniors: It will now also be optional for people attending for the age of 14 and under. They will be able to enter the general painting competition and use a normal entry card, or they can choose to be judged for the “junior” section – they will be given a junior card and judged separately. Pieces will be placed into the normal categories, but the junior entry card will make them stand out.

CATEGORY LIMITATIONS

Entry Limitations: You are able to enter one piece into each category, with a maximum of one per category.

Busts - only to be placed in this category.
Diorama's only to be placed in this category.

BASE & SIZE LIMITS

We have listened to you and removed the height limits of miniatures, and increased the size of bases etc

Sci-fi & Modern and Fantasy & Historical - size limit of 6”x 6”.
Display category - size limit is 10”x 10”
There is no height limits – just not a ridiculous height.

CATEGORY AWARDS

We’re super excited to share that, to your amazing feedback about our 2026 show, we’ve totally revamped the prize structure to give you even more chances to win!

Each category will have the following award/trophy structure:

1st Place - trophy
2nd Place - trophy
3rd Place - trophy
Finalist pins – up to 3 per category
Commendation pins – no limit (within reason)

Juniors will be judged and awarded the following only:

1st Place - trophy
2nd Place - trophy
3rd Place - trophy

Best in show: This will be picked from the 1st place winners across all categories for both days.

CATEGORY PRIZES

We’re super excited to share that we’ve looked into the prizes and are ready to amp up the swag you’ll receive! Alongside the awesome prizes from our incredible sponsors (set be announced later this year), you’ll also score a CHILLCON prize bag packed with exclusive merch and a ticket for next year show!

Prizes will be presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places across all categories.
